Xavier High School Freshman Honor Mrs. Graham

Apr 25 2018

Every other year in March Xavier High School freshman are asked to pick their favorite middle school teacher, and Xavier hosts a Teacher Recognition Breakfast to honor these teachers.  This year freshman from SJS selected 8th grade teacher, Mrs. Graham for this honor. Students recognized Mrs. Graham for her positive example as an active member of her community. Her dedication to her students and their success, including coming in early and staying after school, were among the many reasons these young men wished to honor Mrs. Graham.

Mrs. Graham came to SJS in 2010 from the Hartford public school system and St. Sebastian in Middletown.  She coordinates multiple fundraisers each year to off set the costs associated with graduation.  She started the SJS annual 8th grade "Awards Dinner" tradition.  She transformed the Middle School math program and created an Honors Algebra 1 program in the 8th grade that prepares eligible students to enter HS geometry.  We are proud and blessed to have Mrs. Graham as a member of the St. John School faculty.
